Set the Night Singing #2.5

That my simple eye

should drink in the vale

as the ruby throats do.

A palette of seven daubs

isn't enough,

this world to construe -

the dripping of sunlight

from blooms struck to fire,

each heartstring aglow.

the sky, churning sunsets,

the stars sharply shine -

colors unfathomed blow.
