Set the Night Singing #2.9

Updated: Oct 14

The moon soars in the blackened canopy.

The starlings – fish-form – take the sky in waves.

The bubble of the hummer’s flashing wing

floods currents in my heart as morning raves.

Another day to fascinate,

as colors flair before my eyes.

Another day with open hands,

to keep my ache, my joy, my small reply.
